पिछले कुछ महीनों से विंडोज 10 को लेकर लोगों के बीच बहुत उत्साह नज़र आ रहा था। बहुत सी चर्चाएं इस के बारे में हो रही थीं। तो जो लोग विंडोज 10 पर काम करने को लेकर काफी उत्सुक थे उनका इंतज़ार अब समाप्त हो गया है। हाल ही में विंडोज ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम बनाने वाली कंपनी माइक्रोसॉफ्ट ने विंडोज 10 को लांच किया है। विंडोज 10 अपने आप में एक कमाल का ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम है। सुनने में तो यह भी आया है कि विंडोज 10 अपग्रेड, एक साल तक उन यूज़र्स क़े लिए फ्री रहेगा जो विंडोज 8 और विंडोज 7 प्रयोग कर रहे हैं। इसके कुछ गुण धर्म जो इसको इतना ख़ास बनाते हैं इस प्रकार हैं-
विंडोज 10 के इस गुण का मतलब है की विंडोज 8 से पहले के विंडोज ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम में जिस तरह से स्टार्ट मेनू आपको दिखता था वैसे ही अब विंडोज 10 में भी दिखेगा। यहाँ आपको ये बता दे्ं कि बीच में विंडोज 8 में स्टॉर्ट मेनू की लोकेशन या इसके डिस्प्ले होने के तरीके में बदलाव किया गया था। जिसके प्रयोग में असुविधा को लेकर यूज़र्स का फीडबैक अच्छा नहीं था। इसलिए माइक्रोसॉफ्ट ने स्टार्ट मेनू को फिर से पहले जैसा कर दिया है किन्तु कुछ नयी विशेषताओ के साथ, ये नयी विशेषता है कि जैसे ही आप विंडोज 10 में स्टार्ट मेनू पर क्लिक करोगे तो आपको अगल वगल दो पैनल दिखाई देंगे। बायीं और दिखाई दे रहे पैनल में आपको उन सभी एप्स के आइकॉन डिस्प्ले होंगे जिनको कि आपने अभी अभी प्रयोग किया है। साथ ही साथ इस पैनल में सबसे ऊपर पावर बटन को दिखाया गया है जहा से आप अपने कंप्यूटर को शटडाउन, हाइबरनेट और स्टैंड बाय मोड में कर सकते हैं। दाईं और जो पैनल आपको दिखाई देगा उसमे आपको विंडोज 10 के एप्स की टाइल्स दिखाई देगी जैसे की स्काइप, कैमरा और भी अन्य।
कमांड प्रोम्प्ट में सुधार:
विंडोज 10 के कमांड में कुछ नयी नयी विशेषता है जैसे कि अब आप कमांड प्रोम्प्ट प्रयोग करते समय कीबोर्ड शॉर्टकट को भी प्रयोग कर सकते हो जैसे कि आप पूरी कमांड को टाइप करने के स्थान पर इसको पेस्ट कर सकते हो।

आज क़े समय में हैंडहोल्ड डिवाइस क़े बढ़ते प्रयोग को ध्यान में रखते हुए माइक्रोसॉफ्ट ने इस नए फीचर को भी विंडोज 10 में शामिल किया है, जिसकी मदद से आप लैपटॉप मोड से टेबलेट मोड और टेबलेट मोड से लैपटॉप मोड में आ सकते हो और काम कर सकते हो। जैसे ही आप अपने कंप्यूटर से कीबोर्ड और माउस को अनप्लग करेंगे तभी टास्कबार में आपके सामने एक मैसेज आएगा कि क्या आप टेबलेट मोड एक्टिवेट करना चाहते हो। उस पर क्लिक करने से आप टेबलेट मोड में काम कर पाओगे। जैसे ही आप कीबोर्ड और माउस को फिर से प्लग इन करते हो हो ऐसा ही एक मैसेज आपको फिर दिखाई देगा जिसको एक्सेप्ट करके आप लैपटॉप मोड को एक्टिवेट कर सकते हो।
ऊपर बताये गए सभी फीचर्स क़े अलावा कुछ अन्य फीचर्स को भी विंडोज 10 में शामिल किया गया है जैसे कि कंट्रोल पैनल और पीसी सेटिंग को एक ही जगह पर संयुक्त किया गया है। मतलब कि यूनिवर्सल सेटिंग, इसके अलावा ओफ़िस एप्स, एक्शन सेंटर विकल्प में भी कुछ सुधार करके इनको शामिल किया गया हैं।

System Information (also known as msinfo32.exe) shows details about your computer's hardware configuration, computer components, and software, including drivers.
Open System Information by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button. In the search box, type System Information, and then, in the list of results, click System Information.
System Information lists categories in the left pane and details about each category in the right pane. The categories include:
• System Summary. Displays general information about your computer and the operating system, such as the computer name and manufacturer, the type of basic input/output system (BIOS) your computer uses, and the amount of memory that's installed.
• Hardware Resources. Displays advanced details about your computer's hardware, and is intended for IT professionals.
• Components. Displays information about disk drives, sound devices, modems, and other components installed on your computer.
• Software Environment. Displays information about drivers, network connections, and other program-related details.
A Microsoft Key Management Server (KMS) is a legitimate service offered under Microsoft Volume Activation 2.0 solution which is used to activate volume licensed Microsoft products. The KMS allows automated activation of Microsoft products for organizations within their own network, eliminating the need for individual computers to connect to Microsoft for product activation.
The internally hosted KMS server activates client computers for a period of 180 day, once a machine is activated it will attempt to communicate with the same KMS server every 7 days to renew it's activation resetting it license counter back to 180 days. If the KMS activated client is not able to re-communication to the KMS after 180 days, the machine will become unlicensed and go to it's 30 day grace period and notify the user of this change. If the machine is not activated against the KMS after the 30 day grace period it will enter a reduced functionality mode until it is able to connect to it's KMS or is changed to a MAK license key and activated with other methods.
